approximately two days hours + creative thinking time
this is elphaba from the story of wicked. if you're a wicked fan, then i'm sure you have seen this portrait of idina menzel before. i have been so in love with elphaba! this is a painting that i did in my beginning painting class, and the assignment was to copy the style of another painter, and to do a portrait. the artist that i tried to copy was hung liu, a chinese artist. her art is really amazing, i suggest that you look her up! although i don't really think i succeeded at copying her completely, i do really like how it turned out.
it was a little wet when i took the picture, so there is a tiny bit of a glare. but, the colors all seem true to the actual painting.
